Blog Content and Blog Imagery
Project Type
Marketing Content
I've had the pleasure of running the company blog, as well as setting up blogs for marketing clients. At certain times, this has consisted of writing, editing, adding SEO, creating accompanying images, and publishing articles myself.
At other times, I ran an efficient assembly line of writers and graphic designers, some in-house and others freelance or abroad. I would create or approve a list of ideas and send it to the stable of writers. The writers would create the articles and hand them in, at which point I would edit them or send back suggestions. The last draft was passed through our SEO to swap in relevant keywords, create new titles, and add h1 and h2 tags.
Once the final pieces were ready, we assigned articles their places in the posting schedule. Our graphic designers would create embedded and header images for them. We then posted on days of the week when our blog had the strongest readership. Articles included links directing visitors to industry expert sources, other blog posts on our website, and to landing pages with more information on the topic discussed. The Sales team shared whitepapers from our blog with potential customers via link. Articles have ranged from general interest office editorials and holiday listicles to industry topic primers and overviews of our software capabilities.
I have experience writing for other websites and publications outside of the B2B technology space. I've written and edited for equipment leasing, high end retail, B2C personal finance, non-profits, government contracting, board games, recruitment technology, and periodicals.
This project in the portfolio includes banner images I made for some of my blog posts. You can find examples of my corporate articles, case studies, reviews, and content on my blog.
